A question about consoles, and my pc.

Right-o,

Iv just got bought GTA 5 by the girlfriend as a supprise present, and she has a ps3 that shes lent me to play it on, (iv never been a console gamer).

And the amount of jaggied edges and what have ya are terrible, fairly shocking quite frankly compaired to pc's graphics, which is what i expected due to consoles being really old tech

Im using the ps3 with a hdmi cable which i previously used to connect my PC to my TV to watch online streams etc.

Forgive me if this is a absolute spanner of a question :p but..
Is there any way that if i connect this ps3 to my HD 7950 via the hdmi cable, can i have the playback on my monitor and also in the process use my graphics card to add a layer of anti aliasing befor it displays on my monitor? rather than just plugging the ps3 into the back of my monitor.

The graphics on GTA5 are shockingly terrible, all you can do is sell it and wait for PC or just accept that you are playing a game. It totally ruins immersion for me though :(

Yes they are and I'm a PC gamer.

I only got this as it isn't on the PC yet and I have to say this game looks pretty good.

Sure there's a few Jaggies but I can live with that. BF3 on the console now thats what I call shockingly bad but no way this.

Most pc gamers are bit Anal if you ask me.:rolleyes:

Its all frame rates over game play.
 
Omg I lol'd big time at this thread. It's amazing what questions come out the wood work when a AAA title is released. Every person moaning about the graphics in GTA 5 is either blind, doesn't even own the game and is just trolling or is just a complete ..., a complete .... eh, you get the point.

If your opinion of GTA 5 is bad due to the graphics then you're missing out on an awesome game.
 
My opinion is bad simply because I don't see the appeal in a game which promotes criminality. And then we wonder why our youth are corrupt!

I've always disliked the GTA series :p

graphically - it pails in comparison to the likes of Tombraider

Overall the game look's good. It's is definitely an improvement over GTA 4.
what they have done with the lighting in the game has made a big difference imo. Considering the scale of the game i think Rockstar have done pretty well with such old hardware.

That being said yes lack of AA can be distracting at times but it's still a great game regardless.

To be fair they really do take some getting used to if you normally play on a 1440p screen with AA etc. The lighting is excellent though.

I am a PC gamer, I have a relatively decent PC but I can still appreciate good console visuals when I see them. Of course, if I was playing with my face against the monitor rather than sitting a way back from my TV it might be different, but the majority of complaints about GTA5 graphics seem to be a combination of elitism and bitterness over the lack of a PC version.

Perhaps it's time to stop reading the Daily Mail and other associated trash; violence in society is nothing new and certainly isn't spurred on in any great amount by a game.
 
Theres nothing wrong with graphics on PS4 and probably the same on xbox, im also a pc gamer and found the graphics in gta5 to be jaw dropping with the age of the tech involved.

Stop being a graphics snobs and get on with the game, if graphical quality forces you to stop playing certain games then youre doing it wrong.
In no way does less jaggies = better game!
