Looking at the mag vids and looks like it could be fun, are there many people playing this? Is the player base going to last more than a month? Can you play vs Bots or is it online only?

From What i have seen on BFBC2 I didn't really like that the vehicle side of it is nbot my cup of tea prefer infantry combat.

Infantry mainly, a lot of it - there are APCs which are armed as well as off map arty (airstrikes) but the game is about infantry.

Online only, so no bots .... but at the same time the game is pretty popular atm, I read that week one sales were around the 500,000 mark, so thats a soild start and although BF will probably eat into the playerbase, MAG should survive going on what ive played of it.

I was like you initially worried about the game etc But having played it and got over the 'newbie' hump that there is (small hump), the game is fantastic. Its all objective based, you feel part of a huge war going on... one minute you are holding a position with little going on... 30 seconds later you are getting rushed by 10-20 men and an APC... or they are parachuting onto your position and you are surrounded like the film Zulu :D

The game also caters for various player needs. If you want to Frag, you can get out there stuck in on the frontlines, if you want to Medic then you have a huge role to play keeping the lines reinforced.... Engineers are vital to repair positions, bunkers and objectives... its the closest ive come to playing in a actual war type where lonewolfs are not going to turn the tide, its a case of everyone pulling together.

Waffled on a bit, but I like it and I was easily in the 30/70 not getting it camp beforehand.
