Sorry guys I need to ask this for peace of mind,

I have a buyer for a computer I sold (over £1,000) and as we don't know each other obviously there are trust issues.

I have agreed to send the computer to him via UPS, now I need to find the best way to get payed from him.

It was originally a ebay auction that the highest bidder (after paying me) found out his wife didn't approve of his spending, so I agreed to refund him.

The second highest bidder has agreed to take it off my hands, and to avoid ebay fees etc I am jus trying to find the safest way to do the transaction so we can both be comfortable.

Thanks for the advice :)

Safest option for both is to put it back on eBay with a Buy It Now, but that will obviously have fees.

eBay/PayPal is notorious for siding with buyers though, so make sure you keep everything as proof.

Ok an update, he said he will pay by bank transfer, his bank being Lloyd's TSB and mine being RBS, how long does it usually take to transfer? and if he makes the transfer can he cancel it?

He said he would send the funds tonight and I agreed to post him the PC on Friday, but if the funds arent in my account by then I am not too sure about sending the comp.

Thoughts?
