Hi there, you know how on the OCUK shop you can buy just the case, with all the bits in, and some are overclockers and some arent. Well I was wondering are you getting better value for the overclocked PC rather then one that isnt overclocked?

What I mean by that is say they have two PC's that are exactly the same, but one is overclocked, is the overclocked one the same price or more expensive, how do they value the overclocked PC's?

And also the ones that are overclocked, have OCUK put extra measures in place to keep them cooler like surely they have better fans/heatsinks installed for better cooling because they're overclocked?

The reason am asking these questions is because am thinking of buying a PC on OCUK but am not sure weather to stay well away from the overclocked PC's because I know nothing about overclocking or weather they're a great value buy?

Thanks in advance,

P.S. Dont flame me about these questions, just dont reply to my post if you think these are stupid questions, just skip it! Only reply if your going to answer my questions.

OCUK do charge for overclocking, click on customise on the site and it will bring up options. But they are good value, using the Q6600 as an example, you will end up with a processor worth £500-£600 from £160 (on a 2.4 to 3.0 overclock which costs about £49+vat).

They seem to come with a better cooler wether they are overclocked or not.

Wouldn't say they're great value when you cost up the parts for a DIY job.

However, I wanted an overclocked system and couldn't be arsed building it (read: **** myself at the thought of building it) and it's been great. Excellent game performance and some natty lighting.

Totally happy with it and will buy probably buy another one for next upgrade.
