Am trying to create the efcfect of movement/speed in a drawing. Should the words skew to the left or right. Zoom, Whizz, etc

I've googled Billy Whizz, Roadrunner and Speedy Gonzalez but cant find anything appropriate.

Skew from the direction of movement surely.

Sorry, yeah.

The character is running to the right. So should the top of the letters go the left or to the right.

Why not pick up a good book like The Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams considerd by many as the animation bible.

if the character is going to the left sure the skew would then go to the left? Why don't you try both and then let us know. Pretty sure would be to the left though.

Well currently the character is running right but the skew is going to the left. The customer has said that he wants the skew to go to the right, but the designer insists that the skew should go to the left. Although I reckon he only says this in order to avoid doing any more work.

To be honest, i'm not fussed either way. I just fancy the editor who works with the customer. :p
