A question for the OcUK guys (and anyone else) regarding memory compatibility?

Hi all,

I have an Asrock 4CoreDual SataII motherboard with an E5200 running Windows 7 Beta. I want to install a 2x2Gb memory kit into this. To do so I updated the Bios to 2.13a.

I notice that this motherboard is available as a bundle with Kingston 2x1Gb DDRII 800 memory which looks like it does 667Mhz at 1.8v?

Could someone confirm which 2x2Gb DDRII 800Mhz kits would be most suitable for this motherboard ? Am I right in thinking low voltage low Cas?

Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX (2x2GB)?

Kingston Hyper X 4GB (2 X 2GB) DDR2 6400C4 800MHz?

Kingston HyperX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 800MHz?

And if it does not work can I return it?

What about more expensive stuff like 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair DDR2 6400 non-ECC Unbuffered4-4-4-12 Matched Pro Series with activity LED''s (I like lights, my old PC3500 has lights)

Edit, whatever I get will be moved on to a new P45 motherboard later, so even PC-8500 would be considered IF it would work LOL!

Cheers guys,
Steve

Out of those three the Kingston Hyper X 4GB (2 X 2GB) DDR2 6400C4 for lower timings and great overclocking capability, but the Corsair for the best compatibility with many motherboards and lower voltage requirements. They still overclock well though.

I still can't decide...

I'm like a little kid, WHY does a grown man still like flashy lights on memory modules?

I keep seeing the silver finish Corsair XMS Pro DDRII 4Gb kit in my head
