A question on the M15x before I hit the button

let us know how nice the system is when it comes tomorrow :) and pics would be nice. I'm gonna be getting the m17x in a few months.
 
Eh not to being delibrately annoying but I just bought a laptop from a different manufacturer for a very simillar price but with a 820qm cpu and a 5870m gpu. Looks a tad expensive in my opinion!?
 
tbh, id rather pay the extra for the better built laptop. Alienware laptops are superbly put togeather. I love me m15x, just recently put a 5850 in it.

As it transpires, I'll be recieving my M15x on Thursday now.

I'm happy with my choice as stated above, I'm hoping the build quality is what I'm expecting.

This is why I didn't buy an Alienware, heard a lot of bad things about the MX15 but I hope they have fixed those quality issues. The MX15 is a better looking machine by far, if you like lights which I do, but spec wise I think the gtx 260 in it is a tad weak compared to the 5870M. Will be interested in seeing you pics though!
 
I would not put a 5870 in a 15 inch laptop. The thermal envelope is too low a 5850 does just great.

The problem you talk about were with the old Area 51 m15x ( the ones with the 8800 and 9800 in them ) They were made out of a cheap plastic.

The new ones are fantastic.
