Hi, just wondering if the vista's memory diagnostic tool is useful for catching faulty memory?

if not, what program is best used to test for faulty memory.. besides memtest.. thanks..

Memtest is the daddy, and I'd always sticking to it (so I'm not sure why you'd want an alternative)

The memory tester in Vista seems to be ok, it's flagged up correctly faulty ram before, so I don't see a problem with it.

Until something better comes out go with memtest.

Can't comment on the in-built memory tester in Vista.
