A question regarding freesync and G-sync guys

Need a little clarification on these panels, I'm not to hot on screens.

Basically, been waiting and waiting for freesync to become available as I have crossfire 7950 setup. What happens down the road if I decide to change out the 7950's for Nvidia next offering with regards to that freesync? By that I mean, it's a 144Hz panel, if I get an Nvidia card I'll just have to use V-sync to control the tearing correct?

any good videos or reading that you guys can link would be awesome. Just been reading in the other threads, but arguments turn me away.

To clarify, your 7950's are only capable with video playback and power-saving purposes, gaming adaptive sync('Freesync' gaming part) is not supported on 7950.

yep im aware of that but thanks anyway. Was just wondering how it would pan out for the future with regards to 380X or 390X
