Morning all,

Having fitted the new H70 last night and having a spare fan from my A50, in theory, could this be added into the push pull sequence to increase air flow?
I've had a browse on t'interweb but could find anything or see if anyone had done this? I'm not sure about how it'll all go together but I just need to know the theory/mechanics are correct before I investigate further.

Thanks,

Yeah thats the other option. But running 4.0Ghz, cooling the CPU is a big consideration. I already have the additional exhaust fans on the top of my 800D.
Just wondering if the additional fan would aid the pushing or pulling of air through the rad?

There are much better air coolers out there than the H70, and much cheaper I had a thermalright ultra 120 with noctua fans, that was fantastic and my cpu was running cool even with a an overclock from 2.88 to 3.8ghz x4. I now have a aplenfohm matterhorn for £38 and i can run a 2600k at 5.0ghz silent! they h70 would sound like a jet taking off

Sounds like you need to experiment - I doubt H70 users have tried adding an additional fan to the radiator given it already has 2 fans.

Are you pulling air into the case via the H70 or pushing it out?

I think Corsair say you should pull it in, but then you've got a case full of hot air to get rid of.....

i changed mine around so its pulling in the air from inside the case and expelling it out the back...ive noticed around 4-5 degree increase this way....

this experiment was to find the temp difference the other way round aswell as trying to stop the fans sucking a lot of dust into the case.....as i have a gtx295 putting a lot of heat out through the pci exaust slot of the card, and this would rise and get pulled back in through the h70.....

i have a corsair t600 case and might have a play with the top fan, swap it for 2 smaller fans and have them sucking air in........
