A quick (and no doubt stupid) question on dual monitors and gaming

I know this is a stupid question, I seem to be asking a lot of them recently.

I have a dual monitor setup. Main monitor running at 1680x1050. Secondary monitor running at 1280x1024. When running a game, it automatically runs full screen on the primary monitor, although the secondary monitor just shows the Windows background. Would it increase my frame rate if I disabled the secondary monitor, or is it pretty insignificant?

Try it and see what happens, although I'm sure Predicament is right!

I do the same - main monitor = 1920x1200, second = 1280x1024. I've found no benefit from disabling the second.
