"A quick bench will be performed", then PC cuts out

New build, see my signature below.

I just installed TrackMania 2, and ran it for the first time. Then a message popped up saying that I've not played before, so a "quick bench will be performed."

As soon as I hit OK on the above message, my PC cut out, as if it had been unplugged. It then refused to power on again until after I cleared the CMOS.

Any idea what's caused it? Everything's running at stock - I ran Prime95 for about 30 minutes and temperatures didn't go any higher than 50C.

does this problem occur benchmarking all games, or just trackmania? if its all games then i'd point the finger at the PSU. if its trackmania only i'd suggest a faulty install, or faulty hard drive

Not tried any other games yet! Will post an update here after I have.
I've been playing the game just fine for the last 10 minutes, no problems at all! Weird..

You have a MSI, so try the MSI afterburner overclocking and stress testing tools instead of Furmark. Kombustor, and Nvidia Inspector.
