Hi, at the moment, I'm working on internet & e-mail setup on Small Business Server 2003. It has 5 client PCs connected to it.

My community centre want to use the same e-mail address for all the staffs, is that possible? And how?

Thanks

Not quite sure exactly your after (from simple to complex):

You could have each pc connected to the same account.

You could have a 'group' so when someone emails [email protected] then it's sent to all staff.

You could have an email address that goes to a public folder that all staff can read.

Ok, what I was saying that all staffs would be able to receive e-mail from same e-mail address. I haven't got faintest idea of how sbs2003 works with pop3 mail. Also I want client users to send e-mail as one [email protected] rather than [email protected]..

There is two choice, one is mailbox and one is global. However, it is not clear to me but if I choose mailbox, then select the name of group rather than users, will staffs receive same e-mail via 'group'?

That is what I'm trying to do and if I send a test e-mail, it sents as [email protected] rather than [email protected].

It sounds like you only want the one mailbox then?

So mail to [email protected] arrives on all the pcs, and mail sent from all pcs originates from [email protected]?

If you add a group alias as you suggest, then all mail to 'info' will go to all mailboxes, but when you reply it will be from [email protected]... which isn't what you want, is it?

Couldn't you just create one user and log all pcs on with that?

Yes

Right, looks like I got to settle for that. I was talking to staff few days ago and what he wanted, wasn't clear to me but I think this is one he was talking about.

Thanks
