Ok, im a bit miffed on one small detail, im currently nudging my e6300 up and up on my ds3 motherboard, testing as I go, so far all good..

Now I am doing this on stock Vcore settings of 1.25v as I found pushing it up to 1.45 sent my temps up too much..

what I want to know is, will my computer become unstable when the voltage of 1.25 is not enough for the ever increasing clock, or will it just fail to boot?

reason I ask is because I dont have a jumper wire to bridge the connecting pins on the DS3 motherboard, so id rather avoid boot failure!! I think thats how u do it right?

You're worried you won't be able to reset the CMOS?

You can do that by removing the battery for a few minutes too, you know.

ideal, wasnt sure if that would work on the ds3, thankyou, I take it then the bios reverts back to defaults and you can restore it then back to the last know safest setting..

sorry im very new to this, and I dont wanna have to panick when the system doesnt start..

:D
