Hi,
Always been fairly keenly into my PC building/upgrading and what not but the last few years have led me down an interesting path of playing console games (yeah boo hiss
) and consequently my PC is now somewhat out of date!
Everything has changed a fair bit since my last build so I need a quick refresher on what's what in the self build world. Is Intel still the way to go? Is there a new chip out soon? You know - the boring stuff
For a quick laugh my existing spec is: q6600, 4GB DDR2 RAM, Radeon 7850 2gb gfx card and a variety of rather old mechanical HDD's paired with an SSD.
I'm thinking a complete overhaul and replacing ALL the things but need some pointers on what to aim for! I have a monitor/case/kb+m/headphones already so I reckon a budget of £500 - £800 should suffice?
The low end assumes I keep my gfx card a while longer since it seems to work ok for now
