So, when I'm driving along and do a slightly aggressive gear change, or pull away briskly I sometimes get a quick squeak/squeal from the engine bay. It sounds like I've just run over a pigs toes, its not muffled either, I can hear it over the radio.

The car never squeals at any other time though.

Whats the damage doc'?

Probably the clutch plate making contact as it bites. How does your clutch feel ? Good or on its way out.

Or just a loose Alternator belt.

:D Or your engine mountings could be loose/knackered causing engine movement when loaded up.

Clutch seems fine, I've done the old trick of 5th gear at 30mph and floored it, and it just accelerated slowly, no slipping.

However when I reverse off my drive there is a nasty creak, like a loud crunch from the front of the car. I guess that is something else I should get sorted :o

Infact sod this, whilst I'm here, below is a list of problems with the car I'd like to try and get sorted, but need to know what the problem could be.

1.) Vibration/Droning over 60mph, steering wheel shakes.

2.) Car sometimes pulls to the left or the right, if I brake quite firmly. The steering doesn't pull when acclerating, cruising or braking gently.

3.) The car creaks nastily when turning at low speeds, reversing off my drive, parking etc.

4.) The car cuts out when approaching junctions etc, starts up fine however.

5.) See issue in first post.

Good car innit? :o

3. something suspension related is broken, what sort or creaking?

Its just like a cracking creek noise, especially when the front of the car is taking some weight, e.g. reversing into the road and the nose of the car is pointing down for a second or too due to the slope.
