gigabyte x570 auros ultra--but probably works for all the gigabyte x570 boards

board offered a bios update
so stupidly i clicked ok DOH!

bios flash went wrong
and left me unable to do anything at all

so if you get in trouble
try this to force it to boot from the backup bios if it doesnt do it automatically like its meant to

turn off pc----by holding down power button until it goes off
let go power button

then hold down power button AND reset button at the same time
for approx 10 to 15 seconds
then let go
wait
dont do anything
will get a black screen for quite a while dont panic go have a smoke, cup of tea whatever
should come back to it booted up

now i am back up and running on F3 bios
not going to risk trying to get back to F11 bios at this late hour had enough frustration for now lol

if this gets even 1 person out of the mess i was in then
i will be very happy :D

If it's anything like it is on the B450 Auros Pro, updating the BIOS whilst in the BIOS should be a doddle anyway!
No it wasn't actually
Tried it afterwards
Kept saying invalid bios file
Or words to that effect
Took me ages before it recognised it was actually the correct f11 bios file after all
My old Asus just told it get bios files from Internet in bios
Job done
Still it's all good learning experience lol

Gigabyte X570 boards also have an on-board button to force a bios update via USB. This can be used even if no processor is installed and the computer is turned off. They call it 'Q-Flash+'. One of the USB sockets is coloured white to show that you should use this port for the USB stick when using this feature.
