Can any-one give me some hard specs on the above car, I cant seem to find anything consistent on the net.

Its a 99-reg Legacy B4 import, 2 Litre Twin-turbo Tiptronic.

I'm after things like weight/bhp/lbft/0-60 etc etc.

I cant give you the tech specs, but what i can say is this....it is without a doubt one of the most well rounded cars i have ever driven.

A friend of mine has one, its extremely quick, yet very very solid and doesnt feel japanese if that makes any sense.

Not as fast on the acceleration front as my brothers Impreza Sti, but it will definately catch it on a long road....and it looks classier too.

The engine and exhaust notes are incredible too.

LEGASHEE!

Anyways...

INFORMATION

The Subaru Legacy B4 is a sedan-only model. The RSK version featured the familiar DOHC, twin-turbo 2.0l rated at 280 bhp (210 kW) for the Manual version and 265 bhp (198 kW) for the Semi-automatic version. This results in a 0-60 mph time of 5.7 s for the Manual and 6.7 s for the Automatic.

Australian models were detuned to run on lower octane (98 RON) fuel and were rated 258 PS (190 kW or 254 hp) for the Manual and 239 PS (176 kW or 236 hp) for the Automatic models. This results in a 0-60 mph time of 6.3 s for the Manual and 7.1 s for the automatic.

A B4 RS version was equipped with a less powerful, normally aspirated 2.0 L DOHC engine, but shared many of the body and suspension components of the more powerful RSK. In 2001, a B4 RS25 model was introduced with a normally aspirated 2.5 L DOHC engine while in 2002, the B4 RS30 was introduced with a normally aspirated 3.0 L EZ30 DOHC flat-six engine.

Much prefer the Legacy to the Impreza - much like I prefer the Galant VR-4 to the Lancer.

They're more refined, and more comfortable, and better for actually driving every day than their more "common" stablemates.

*Booooooooooooooooooooooooo* *Hiissssssssssssssssssssssssssss*

:p

Horses for courses, mines not a daily, and is plenty comfortable enough for me.

Theres always tradeoffs when trying to make a car quicker.

Basically what I'm trying to tell you is that you are gay.

:p

You're just bitter that you paid 3-4x more than me for a car that's not 3-4x faster ;)

:p

Much like you'd pay more for an Impreza over a Legacy ;)

Ouch, the truth doth hurt.

How will I sleep tonight? :(:p

I'll continue with the denial for a few more weeks and let you know how i'm getting on then :p

A Woman at my mums work has one of these. I Walked up to it and actually thought it looked alright, Was unsure on it though...

Then she started it and i got the biggest grin ever. The Noise is just amazing.

I might be wrong, but i think the auto box is weak? I remember seeing quite a few spares or repairs on the auto ones.

Mates got one, manual mind. 125% needs a remap that sorts out the horrible horrible flatspot you get between 4k-5krpm as the turbos swap over standard it really is that bad. Other than that brilliant car for the monies personally.

My brother in NZ has got one of the first Legacy GT models(1991)in manual. The first of the single turbo EJ20 powered cars.Done about 250,000kms now, still in the original turbo and clutch. It's about 200-210bhp.It's been totally bomb proof and very reliable
