I have a fair bit of new kit sitting here begging me to put it together. I have ben waiting for the new ATI 1950 and some new Conroe MBs but now that release date for the 1950 has been put back I am thinking of buying the Asus P5W DH Deluxe, though dont need the WFi -Fi or remote, and sticking a really cheap GPU in as a temporary measure.

I dont want to go second hand particularly as I wont it tomorrow - any suggestions or should I just be patient.

cheers

Should have got an X300SE for £11 like me, it's a piece of crap but it plays Half Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Battlefield 2 and SWAT 4 at low settings. I got it to wait for an RMAed X1800XT to come back.

Spending £88 for four weeks is ouch.

indeed, I'd have headed over to fleabay and procured the cheapest piece of pci-e junk i could find.

I can live without games for 4 weeks ;)

If your a hardcore gaming junkie who would go cold turkey at the prospect of not playing a game for 4 weeks, get the 7600GT. Otherwise £88 is a heck of a lot of money to spend on a card if you can live without gaming.

I don't game at all on my PC and my 6200 manages quite nicely with everything.

One on OCUK for £23.44 (BFG 3DFuzion GeForce 6200 LE Turbo Cache 256MB DDR TV-Out/DVI).

If you're a gamer, four weeks is ages!

The OP should be able to sell it for £60+ in a month, so then its only really cost a fiver a week?

Cancel the order then?

You can just return it under distance selling regs anyway, and then order the card you were waiting for.
