Perhaps. Its so strange that effects pad is built in though, my next door neighbour had it for his DJ decks, the sounds you could get whilst mixing were really fun. I could see myself really enjoying that guitar.... but the price, jeebus!
 
Read the article and you will find a whole range of Matt Bellamys guitars. He is the frontman for the band Muse (I'm sure you knew that :) ).
 
The midi keyboard that sits on my desk has a 3-dimensional one of those things on it... I dont use it much becasue I dont like gimmicks that much.

Digital guitar gimmcks are quite 90s if you ask me.

The only one to make me go 'Wow thats really neat!' was that heat operated 'midi' strip, which made crazy noises as he moved his hand along it. I think its called 'Blacky' int hat artical... not sure. That silver one looks like it has it too. A bit like a hand operated wah.

Still, not as wacky as the one I was on about in the original post.

'Modern' over 'vintage' anyway, for me at least.
 
This was in last months GUITARIST and it went on about the MUSE guitarist going in and asking for all weird guitars.
The name of the guitar is a M-One D-One after a customer at Mansons Guitars asked for a MIDI lead :D (have you got a M One D One lead please).
The pad on it is called a KORG KAOSS and was primarly made for keyboard players and DJ's.

weird guitars is all well and good...

but you cant beat a good guitar with a crisp clean tone... sorts the men from the boys :p

but its always nice to dabble in something that will send you round the bend and keep you high, but it gets too messy sometimes.

Just got my CD out and pulling off some of the sound effects.

Its a bloody video - hold on.

I was about to post that video! Saw it on guitarchat last week. I want one of those things, looks quite cool for messing about with. The price is a little offputting though. :p

Ah, well, I dunno if its the same vid or not since it just stopped loading. I forgot Firefox doesn't live wmvs on my PC. If it was a guy reviewing the guitar with a red background behind him, it's the same vid. :)
 
Love it, and have always been fond of Bellamy's Manson-modded guitars. The one with the copper-plate theremin built in was the first I recall that got my loins warm :cool:, and indeed the ribbon controller mod is a great idea - got to love tactile effects.

Still think I prefer a nice gratuitous selection of pedals to play with over everything being inside the guitar.
