I'm thinking of getting a new motherboard and was seeing if anyone can recommend a good board for overclocking that's stable and not too expensive.

I've got a P5N-E SLI currently which to me was excellent for Conroes but since I've upgraded to an E8400, the board doesn't quite cut it.

Recommendations appreciated, thanks.

The P45 boards seem to be the new FSB kings with reports of well over 600FSB (Asus Maximus Formula 2), so I would guess the cheaper versions would still be good.

X38/X48 should get you around 550FSB.

Agreed Scotty.

P45 is the way to go if you're only on a single card system. Asus are always a safe bet.

790i (think corruption problems are fixed now) if you've got SLI cards, or X48 for CF cards.

You can still go P45 and crossfire right?
