A Return to PC Gaming

Just got my new PC all sorted after about 4 years out of the loop.

Can you recommend any games? Any genre really, but ones that can also test out my new system (580gtx etc).

I grabbed Bad Company 2 last night and my word does it look fantastic compared to the 360!

Play Metro 2033, the graphics will blow your mind at times.

The only game out at the moment that will really stress your system is Terraria.

Witcher 2.

Great game, great graphics, great norks

p). Maybe also check out Fallout 3 / New Vegas with a bunch of graphics mods? can make the game look fantastic and they are excellent games to boot.

Does Merto2033 require a super computer or does it still look decent enough at lower settings? I'm running an i5 and HD6870 with 8Gb DDR3.

I would argue that BC2 on pc looks crap compared to other pc games too

I really like Mass Effect (on the first one atm). If you don't have it on 360, get it for pc

. Same goes for Assassin's creed 2 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

That should run it reasonably well, just turn off the dx11 effects. When I had a 4870X2 it could 'only' manage dx10 since it wasn't dx11 capable, but it looked amazing nonetheless.

BF2 Infantry only 64 man servers are where it's at, It won't test your system but it's the best online FPS bar none.

You have some treats ahead mate.

There are a few things you could pick up spanning over that time. Some are older and so will fly on your system.... some are newer and test it.

If you don't mind stepping back... Mass Effect 1 and 2 (in readyness for 3)..

Fallout 3 & texture and gfx mods..... a must!

Bad Company 2 looks fantastic so I can't wait to try some others. Mass Effect, although both completed on the 360, are tempting me as is The Witcher 2.

Could try Fallout NV with NMC 7.9GB texture pack, Nevada Skies, and maybe some weapon and NPC texture mods
