Hi folks,

I'm going to be running the London Marathon this April to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. It's a cause thats pretty close to my heart as my 92 year old nan is currently suffering with dementia to such a degree that she no longer knows who I am :(.

I'm sure anyone that has been affected by dementia or alzheimer's would agree that it's a really worthwhile cause. The Alzheimer's Society use donations to support people with dementia, as well as funding research with the ultimate aim of finding a cure.

I wouldn't normally ask for sponsorship/donations from people that I don't know personally, however I thought as I had set up a JustGiving page for use on Facebook/twitter/emailing colleagues, it couldn't hurt to post it up on here as it is a great cause that may be close to some people's hearts.

Any donation, no matter how small would be massively appreciated :)

Great thanks mrk. I will post put a post up after the race has finished as evidence of my completion. Well it may be the day after depending on whether or not I am able to crawl to my computer :)

A shameless bump as race day is now only two weeks away. I've managed to smash my initial target (thanks in no small part to some of the kind folks on here :)), I'm going to try and hit the £1000 mark before I'm done. As I've said before I'll pop a picture on here of me at the finish line so that folks know that I've completed my side of the bargain :)
