Hey guys, when rebooting my PC today i noticed that after the enter bios screen, but before the windows icon / loading screen

i would get some sort of graphical error were the lower 3rd of my monitors would look like green/pink/black in a static pattern. now as far as i can tell everything is working normally right now.
there also seems to be a larger the delay with loading windows

im just a little concerned this could mean something is wrong with my GFX card or something else ? and it may get worse until it does not work at all ?

Should i be concerned ?

Windows 7
HD7970
i5-4670k

Always try to eliminate the simplest possible problems first, try checking the cable from GPU to your monitor sometimes this is just a lose cable.

checked and all in fine :)

Are you getting any issues when you're in Windows or running games?
Could be the GPU, could be the BIOS?

Only game ive had any slight issue with is WoW, it has crashed a few times recently normally when im afk and have other windows up over it. but its not like every time i load it it crashes.

other things ive been playing recently Dota 2 - CS:GO - Quake live - no issues.

I have now noticed that it does not happen when i restart, only when i cold boot

I've seen this a couple of times. I think it's something to do with the digital handshake when the drivers for Windows load.

On the couple of PC's I've seen this on they've had it for more than a couple of years with no problems. If you can try using another monitor, almost certain you'll find it won't do it and it's your GPU/Monitor/Driver combo.

IMO nothing to worry about.

Plugged in my old monitor via DVI, and no sign of a delay or the green/pink/black static.

Plugged in my current monitors via DP. did seem slightly longer on the pre windows screen, but didnt get the g/p/b static.

Anyways hopefully it will all stay fine and working :)

Thanks for all the responses ^^
