A silly question about the NEC MultiSync 20WGX² Pro

I'm sorry about this but I need someone to explain this to me in layman's terms.

Is the NEC MultiSync 20WGX² Pro a high definition monitor?

I'm referring to the UK, non-HDCP version here. Just because it isn't HDCP compliant, does it mean that if I played a Bluray disc on my PC, I wouldn't see any improvement in quality over a standard DVD disc?

Also, how does/would Blu-ray look like on the MultiSync 20WGX²?

Any better than conventional DVDs?

I think if you watch blu-rays on it, they'll either be downscaled to near DVD quality or they just won't play at all, not sure which. Maybe there's a way round the copy protection though.
