this is really silly but what is the difference between the e6700 & the e6750 apart from the fsb & the price.

I'm only asking this as I got this as a replacement cpu (not from ocuk)
 
Which did you get as a replacement cpu?
Believe the E6750 will clock a bit more :)
And the E6700 aren't produced anymore.
Just intel moving to 1333FSB for everyone, something which overclockers will only really care about because it also means that the chips are probably a bit better suited for higher FSBs.
 
The 6750 will probably clock higher, but you'll need to stress your motherboard more to do the same clocks.

Personally I think Intel saw that everyone was getting higher clocks with much higher fsbs than they were advising, and decided to up the fsb on the same chips ;)
 
I have the e6750 & an asus blitz formula mainboard, not tried clocking it yet so I'll have to try :D
