Hi,

Just a quick couple of CPU cooling questions to start me off, if I may!

Firstly, am I correct in thinking that liquid coolers, such as the Corsair Hydro series are 'stand alone' devices for cooling a CPU, and do not require any additional tanks, reservoirs, or anything like that?

Secondly, would there be any advantage in using one on an Intel i5 4690 (which will probably not be overclocked anyway!) in a small Mini-ITX case?

Thanks! :)

They are an All In One cooling solution. Corsair Hydro Series liquid CPU coolers are quieter and more effective than stock CPU heat sink fans. They’re completely self-contained, with no filling or maintenance needed, and installation is straightforward.
They do allow you to overclock or you could use it to run quieter.

Thank you for a very concise and helpful reply.

That is probably the sort of thing I will go for in my new mini-itx system.
