Ok so it's 11pm, i'm watching TV in shorts, t-shirt, quite comfortable really. Not that hot.

11:30pm, strip down to just boxers, lie on bed with NOTHING on top of me, don't move a muscle, now i'm overheating!

Why the hell does this happen? How can wearing less clothes, and not moving result in more heat? Grrr damn you summer!!

Nah, sleep standing on your head, least contact area :)

Problem with this is you lose most of your heat through you head :D Try sleeping standing up, or even on tip toes to reduces contact area ;-)

Or take a shower just before you go to bed, but dont fully dry yourself, enough that your not dripping but still leave some moisture on your body, get into bed, have a nice big fan in the room to move the air around, and hopefully you will stay cool for enough to get to sleep :)

Get one of those plant demister spray things, fill with cold water and spray your nekkid self every so often*.. really helps to keep you cool :)

* only do this in the privacy of your bedroom with the curtains shut, not in the middle of Argos on a hot day..

Crazy timezone madness between London and Oxford its only 9:43pm here. Maybe you are nearer the sun and therefore time moves quicker?

You're either referring to yesterday, or you're a time traveller, or you don't know how a clock works.

Each of them scary in their own way :p

Get aircon, or at least a fan. The air movement will keep you cool.

Look on the bright side it got to 99F here today, and with the humidity it felt like 108F (heat index). The aircon in our bedroom needs replacing so it is flaky at best. Luckily we have a good fan so it is not too bad. Currently it is 10:40pm and it is 80F outside still  Luckily it is not August yet when it sometimes gets down to a low of 90F at night.

However, I am not complaining ;) I love the heat!!

I just woke up to get prepare for work. At 04:30 a while ago, it was a colossal 28c in my room. Its NEVER this hot during the mornings ever. This does not bode well.

28C isn't that much.

This is in my kitchen just now... facing east.

For those that are having trouble reading that (like me) it says 111.5 degrees F. And the clock reads 05:24PM. It was at a perfect 112^ when I retrieved it from my porch. And it was NOT in the sun. And it was dangling by its strap, so it was not laying against anything conducting heat. That was the actual shaded air temp yesterday.
