Hey guys,

Managed to create a small crack in my windscreen today :(
Basically whilst fiddling around with the wipers I managed to smash the arm into the windscreen causing a small but nonetheless concerning crack. My dad insists that it isn't anything significant and doesn't need to be fixed, I however disagree. Here is a photo of the damage. Cheers :)

I really do hope you're not serious. The only person who could afford to do that is my dad and he is refusing to acknowledge that it is a problem.

Why wouldn't I be? Assuming you have fully comprehensive insurance, it should only cost you about £75 max.

even IF it wasn't significant enough for a new windscreen you'll be replacing wipers every time it rains. Any damage to the windscreen is significant and should be fixed asap

One day it will turn into a bigger crack. Until then its no big deal.
I'm not happy to leave it, I want it sorted immediately but don't have the money to do so :(

I understand this absolutely and I want it fixed asap. Just need to get the money from somewhere

Make it bigger until your dad acknowledges the problem and offers to pay for it?

It's not what I'd call ridiculously unsafe, its structural integrity will be rather compromised though. I'd want it sorted ASAP if it was me.

What car is it? The price of a screen can vary from a couple of hundred to many hundreds!

I must be missing something here, as there are several very long cracks in that screen. Replacement.

I fully understand this. But I am 17 and do not have the money to sort it by myself, hence having to rely on my dad who refuses to do anything about it.
