Today i installed crysis again just to gawk at the graphics:D. I applied the 1.2 patch and by default i had everything at very high in-game and i set the resolution at 1600x1024. The fps were high enough for me to enjoy gameplay but about 30 minutes into the game i started to experience stutter and my fps dropped dramatically to an unplayable level.

Now, if i remember correctly i never had this problem when i first played it a while back. I read the patch notes and it said that memory leaks were fixed but it only said leaks when AA is on, i did not turn AA at all. Has anybody experienced this problem? If so, could you please share the solution if you did find one.

Thanks

Just to add, i checked the verison in game or at least i think its the verison number. The one in main menu bottom right it says 1.1.6.1. It doesn't say 1.2 but patch installs w/o any problems.

had those problems in crysis and warhead almost endlessly, i found disabling steaming helped a fair amount in DX10, you can also precache levels and various other things, which is supposed to help improve the frame rate at the cost of load times. in my experience with crysis since it came out, its a great looking game but badly setup and you can get some visual/performance boosts by CVAR editing. do you use DX9 or DX10?

Thanks! I use dx10 and i do remember there was .cfg file that you download or something which adds/tweaks some settings but i can't remember what it was called.

add e_stream = 0 to that configuration file as well if its not there, especially if you have plenty of memory ;)
