A spec check

Ahoy everyone,

I'm just making some enquiries at the moment so just want to do some research at the moment.

This is the spec that I made:

I just have a few questions,
How quiet will this run? I want it to be near silent

Do I have to buy another expansion card for wireless capabilities?

I want to connect it to my tv so I can watch any videos I have on my pc on there, will need a few USB ports so I can connect a few external hard drives, I guess its best to buy a usb hub type thing

One option could be to drop the GPU and change the cpu to the i3 530.

You would need a wireless pci card or usb one.

I very rarely play games, but there has been 2 occasions in the past 2 years that I have wanted to play games.
One being Dawn of War and the other being Black and White 2, nothing to intensive. So I'd like to leave it in there just in case.

Now I'm also unsure how I'd organise my music and stuff, would I use the SFF connected to the tv or would I just use my laptop. The HDD is just one I picked I doubt I'd probably end up with getting a smaller sized drive and just use external HDDs instead

An i5 650 and 8gb of ram is way over the top for a what in effect is just a playback device.
Grab an i3 530 and 4gb of ram instead,keep the gfx card though the 5450 is a brilliant card for htpc playback duties.

If you want wifi just use a usb one.

The Fractal case is pretty good for small server/nas duties and has ample room for an array of drives to store all your media on.

And yes it will run near silent.

Im going to second what Leigon said.
Im only running an i3 with 4GB of ram and i play COD MW2 on full settings, Admitedly im using a gtx 460 but i have a much bigger case. And bought it primarily to render graphics, and generally play games.
