A spec to run a bedroom setup

Just thinking about sorting something a bit more workable in my bedroom

Currently have a pc and a old crt monitor and a 22" tv crt also. The pc is old atx socket A stuff and the tv is no better. What sort of spec or gear do i need to sort it all out

One flatscreen and a new pc. WOuldnt mind getting into some games here and there, possibly hook up a xbox to it along with pc games if thats possible all one one screen. Its also to watch TV on so is a tv card needed ?

well,,,, A pc with a capable enough spec to run a modern game or 2, be reasonably futureproof, watch tv on and dvd's, possibly plug a xbox into to use the same screen. If thats HTPC ~?

i suspect you can make one for about 500-600 quid not going really mental but itll have a few things in there

How about you spec something up and then the people on the forum can modify your decision if any to suit better hardware per performance?

The last pc i spec'd up for myself was socket a athlon 3000. I dont have the effort anymore for pc's to know whats good/bad or even compatible
