Having bought ISOS5 and ISOS4, you guys suggested A State Of Trance 2006. I got this for Christmas and I really like it. I have to say, I've never been a trance fan and whilst I hate classic trance - all those commercial, been done too many times beats, I absolutely love the tracks on these 3 albums. I think it's all classed as progressive trance?

Are there any more similar albums I can pick up?

Cheers,

Check out A State of Trance 2006 Yearmix, (assuming thats not what you ment), theres also ASOT 2005 and ASOT 2005 yearmix, they are all worth a listem :D

I think you'd like anjunabeats worldwide volume 1. I'm busy now so can't really go into any more detail but try and find some samples

I'll keep a close eye on this thread :)

Looks like you're in exactly the same position as me then lol

Have any of you heard of Markus Schulz - Miami '05: Coldharbour Sessions. Someone suggested that to me but I can't find it on any of the UK CD shops.

Damn it that Helsinki Scorchin' track is awesome. I know it's pretty much everywhere at the moment but it's still amazing. I'd make an awesome driving song if you had a 911 Carrera Cabriolet and were driving about in LA :D

Lots of free mixes there, some are of a higher standard than others, but nearly all are trance/a derivative of trance.

Downloaded quite a few, but as someone who seems quite experienced in the genre, can you recommend any which are more like ISOS?

I love tracks like Shipwrecked which have really awesome low-beat parts in the middle. I'm not as keen on the constant bang bang bang tracks.

I recommend you check out the first ISOS mix - can get it pretty cheap from music stores these days and IMO is much better than the other ones in the series.

After the first one I like 4 the most.

I got web n walk internet on my mobile, just so that I can stream www.di.fm trance/hard dance while I'm on th bus to work/home.
The other night, Armin was playing the "top user rated" choons for 2006 and it was MENTAL!!
Does anyone know where I can get hold of it?

themixingbowl.org will almost certainly have that episode of 'a state of trance' on their site along with Armin van Buuren's Christmas Eve 'Essential Mix' which is much better :)

Sorry that was vague, but I can't quite remember the lyrics :P
