A stresstest that really tests a GPU OC?

Hey,
im looking for a stress test that genuinely tests a stable OC without running the risk of the app destroying the GPU. For example i can run valley for 2-3 hours without a crash but if i load up a game like crysis3 then i can get a crash within a couple minutes.

i have heard that some apps like kombuster & a few others can damage the card & just kick out a load of heat without actually testing the OC stability. Am i wrong or right bout this?

anyone got any suggestions?

Why do you want to stress one even more exactly? To understand what's causing the crashes?

3dmark11 has always managed to crash an unstable card with me so you could give that a go? i know it's not the most demanding one but it worked for me

how about a game? anytime my cards were unstable It would crash.

Furmark is cruel, haha. Heaven or valley benchmark at extreme settings might make your gpu stress out.

just play games,if it crashes in those then what good is stresstesting it

gaming and stressing programs are chalk n cheese when it comes to oc,games are more demanding

furmark should reveal an unstable overclock pretty fast ime it's at least a handy time saver, I'd just use that for 10 mins then run heaven 4 or something and of course a well known good game for checking stability such as crysis/bf

doesn't kill gpu's, heat does I think the whole myth that furmark kills gpus just comes from idiots that don't keep an eye on it and toast their card because they have a crappy leaf blower cooler on it

Businesses that buy gpus use furmark to test them, if furmark broke cards they wouldn't use it

Unigine is my preferred choice and works amazing would recommend to you! Benchmark doesn't take long either.
