Hi guys I wonder if you can give me some advise.

My niece suddenly informed me that she needs a study laptop asap.
Although it is for studying I imagine she will probably use it for netflix, skype and spotify and probably at the same time. And she is not much of a gamer, at least not very demanding games.

I found this one cheap: Around 235£

Satellite C50-B-118

Windows 8.1 64-bit
3. generation Intel® Core™ i3-3217U-processor
39,6 cm (15,6") , Toshiba TruBrite® HD TFT
Harddisk 500 GB
4.096 (1x) MB, DDR3L RAM (1.600 MHz)
Intel® HD Graphics 4000
Weight 2,2 kg
B x D x H : 380,0 x 259,9 x 26,6 mm

I know it is not the latest model or anything. But would you people reckon it would do for homework, movies and music?

Or should i find a lenovo with less batterytime, or any suggestions?

Just doublechecking.

I guess the above is ok and not ridiculous, or someone would have reacted and said:"Don't buy that trash!".

Yeah, you are not asking for anything that needs much power so an i3 would be fine. I would go as far as to say if she did not want to multitask the above programs a new atom processor laptop would suffice.

To be honest, for a study laptop, one of my main priorities would be battery life.
