A stupid question but need to make sure???

On the Thermalight heat sink & fan am I correct in saying the fan of the heat sink needs to be near the rear case fan & not at the front to help expel the hot air from the heat sink?

Or does it need to be near the front to blow air through the heat sink?

I know this is a basic question but I just want to make sure.

Not exaclty sure but i would have thought the fan would be at the front to blow it to the back of the case where the rear fan can then expell it out of the case?

So you mean the fan blows air through the heat sink?

See I would have thought the opposite. I would have thought the fan needs to be at the back to help get rid of the hot air the heatsink is generating & out through the back.

Isnt it that the fan puts cool air into the heat pipe?

I'm saying the fan at the front pushing air through the HS, and let your rear case fan expel the warm air.
