OK guys, pop quiz.

If you had an E6600 conroe 2.4
4 Gigs of Geil PC6400 Ultra
A BFG 8800 GTX Xtreme (with another in mind for later)

And you wanted to WC everything....

What mobo would you buy? (price is not an issue)

This is going to be my first serious build, so i have no bias toward any brand, and yes, i will be overclocking to within an inch of its life!

look out nUkE i'm gunnin for ya :D

If you are thinking of 8800GTX SLI then it's going to be the 680i chipset. You could go 650i but if money's not an issue, I'd go for the 680i.

The Asus Striker Extreme is one of the more expensive 680i boards, and is supposed to be a good performer, if not a bit expensive for what you get. It's not much different to the Asus P5N32-E SLI 680i and that is a lot cheaper.

I've just bought an EVGA 680i SLI for my E6600 and it's been excellent so far. A few hours of overclocking has got me up to a stable 3.6Ghz at 55c load, with probably a bit more headroom.
