A total newb question here!!! updating drivers

How do I go about installing/updating gfx card drivers?

I've not done it since I built the PC. Is there a set procedure etc? Should things be un-installed first?

When you open the drivers. Choose custom install.
Then you can choose clean installation

I have an ever increasing bug to constantly fiddle and change things though! Now I'm thinking of changing case so I can do it Aaaaaaall over again

I've got the bug too, even after just getting a new graphics card and SSD, now I want a new case...
