Hi all,

I know there are a few trance lovers on this forum so thought I'd share a song with you that I have recently made. I've been learning to produce since November 2009 and still have many years ahead to learn how to mix properly and make some tracks hopefully one day worthy of being signed by some decent labels! It's still a WIP (work in prog) as there's a few things I need to change on it but I was wondering what you thought and if possible give some feedback on it ?

Here it is anyway, hope you enjoy - (it's in the same sort of style as Andy Blueman - drawn from him for a bit of inspiration anyway :p)

Fairly generic "text book" trance, but I can't fault it generally, nice melodic hook that pulls you into the track and seperates it from other bland "text book" attempts.

Theres seems to be a slight blip at approx 50% where it "bursts" out of sequence for a moment - not sure if that was just a playback issue on my end.

Good effort, if thats your first proper effort I'd definitely be interested in hearing your future stuff.

Thank you, appreciate the comments. I think I need to do something with the filter cut off in the main where you mention the burst. I'll adjust that, is it where the pads come in really quite loud?

3:41 ish theres a slight kinda "burst" thats out of character with the flow of the tune not sure on the technical details - volume seems to kick up a notch on the right channel.

VERY impressive for only 6 months at producing.

However, and I only say this as someone who is picky after listening to trance for 12 years:

Breakdown is too long and lacking enough variation to justify it's length. Needs something else to go with the pads/synths in that section.

Weird increase in volume at 3:41.

I really like the plinky synth used in the build-up, but I don't think it is strong enough for use as the main riff. Would love to have heard a more powerful synth kick in midway through to build-up, that gives you the big hands in the air moment, and allows the filter before the main break to have a more pronounced effect.

After the first bar from the break, you need some more samples/sounds to come in, perhaps a closed hi-hat as well, tends to help the second bar sound like it has progressed.

DON'T ruin it with vocals, good vocals are difficult to come by, and most professional producers do a crap job of it, haha!

Finally, it's a million times better than anything I ever made in my 3 years of attempting to produce trance, so well bloody done!
