Anyone else have these conversations with their wife/partner?

Wife - Dear husband, would you like to do A, or should we do B instead?
Me - Hmm I'm not too not bothered, I'm happy either way, we'll just do whatever you prefer.
Wife - Come on, be decisive; tell me if you'd rather we do A or B.
Me - OK, let's go with option B
Wife - I think we should do A instead, yes, we're doing A. All ok with you?
Me - Sure, but why bother asking me if you wanted to do A all along?
Wife - Why do you have to be so difficult all the time?

Almost every time. I've given up with the theatrics and just say "think of what I would say and then do the opposite because that's what you always do" all in good humour of course...

Happens a lot when you in long term relationships.

My missus does it all the time.

Here is a good one I get all the bloody time.....

Her "Does this dress look ok"
Me. "Yes you look fine"
Her "No I don't I look fat in this dress"
Me. "No you don't you look great"
Her. "No I don't am wearing something else"
Me. "Then why on earth did you ask me in first place"

Argument begins....................

I usually have the opposite (luckily or unluckily)... We are both as indecisive as each other! That said if I do finally persuade her to do a or b it normally ends up with her doing c for an hour before we even get to doing the decision. By which point I've either had to prompt her half a dozen times and/or we now have to rush around to get the choice done on time. :p

Case in point, an hour ago we decided to go and look at paint. She needed a quick snack and shower before heading out. 5 minutes ago she finally finished her quick snack (after I questioned her definition of "quick") and decided to have a shower, so now we are going to rush around the shops, when she is finally ready. :p

Something strange happened somewhere along the lines for me. There was once a stage in my life where I would actually listen and think over what the missus was saying in a conversation, and sit there thinking I wish I could just switch off and somehow look like I am listening when really I am not. This thought is now reality and everything she says literally goes through my head without entering my brain! Its awesome most of the time but causes at least 99.9% of arguments.

They want you to man up and tell them you're doing B.
Don't take their bs.

Play devils advocate

"Neither, I want to do C"

Do you think I look good in this dress

"No you look fat"

They soon stop talking to you, so don't worry

Ex: Oh, thought you'd keep me company downstairs...
Me: OK (ooh, happy time!)
Ex: *switches on TV, tunes into Coronation St.*
Me: :/

She knows what she wants but she wants you to know what she wants without her spelling it out. Women like it when you listen to them and deduce their needs because they often do that themselves. If you asked her to choose from A and B she would know exactly what you prefer.
