Does anyone know if such a thing exists?
I know it essentially undoes what Facebook is but I'm happy enough having stuff fed to me as is, I'm just sick of the comments.

Just don't click the comments section idiot.
Yes I know that, I understand. But it's not what I'm asking.

Is there a social media type news feed place like that which I could easily "import" years of me tailoring it to me, into?

Maybe just a plug in that disables comments sections?

Social media without the ability to chuck your opinion in like someone put 50p in you? Seems like it goes against what those social-media lovers love about social media.

I'm shocked you even have to ask that.

Well think from a parental point of view then if it helps.
Stop online bullying in comments by removing comments but still lets kids do everything else.

I know its a dumb question and i know there is an answer.
I just thought as there are many involved in stuff like this professionally, media and apps etc, that this might have been done, under the guise of "keep your kids safe"

I thought Instagram was more visual sharing.... i dunno thats why im asking

Yeah it's more for pictures and videos. It's the only form of social media I use these days as there are a lot of interesting accounts on there which I follow. Luckily there is no 'status' thing like what facebook has so you don't get pointless updates constantly.

Though I guess it depends who you follow.

also applies to forums...

But luckily with Forums and reddit I can avoid the people who think they're the next big influencer and endless sharing of their healthy eating or projecting happy, but often the opposite, lives.

I think Instagram is worse for influencers than most social media platforms.

They all have block options, my Facebook block list is as long as my friends list :D

Yeah it depends who you follow really. Most of the accounts I follow are real life friends, 'celebs' I find interesting and then lots of pages similar to National Geographic and wildlife stuff. Some amazing wildlife photographers on it! I haven't used Facebook since about 2013/14 so it may well be a lot better than when i stopped using it.

As mentioned by JunglistE, have you tried using Reddit? Set it up right and you get a good feed of timely content. Their voting system means comments are more qualified, rather than all of the Karens shouting at each other.

While I understand where you are coming from there wouldn't be such a thing. It would be nice not to have comments I agree but this ain't going happen.

Facebook still get all your data, likes, locations etc so they can still make their money and "collate you, sell you."
Yeah probably will never happen, not for a few more scandals at least.

Best thing I have found for removing as much of the Facebook stuff I don't want to see as possible
Is FBP/face book purity
Though it's only for pc don't think there's a mobile version though may be I have never looked

Not sure about hiding comments, but your nearest option will be Greasemonkey / Violentmonkey / Tampermonkey.

Whatever -Monkey you get depends on what browser you use. You run scripts that can add or remove from the page, kinda like a realtime HTML editor. The scripts are cross-platform so will work in any of the -Monkey platforms.

This is basically what FBP is
But FBP is a browser extension that doesn't need grease monkey etc for most browsers
So bit easier for some users
