how do you log o n as a administrator
thanks.
1.Ensure that you are logged in to Windows as an administrator on the machine which you would like to install Steam on

i have to do this for Steam.

If you right click on the installer and go to "Run as administrator". It will then ask you to elevate the privileges. You should then be able to install Steam.

it doesnt let you do that.

you're already an admin i'd guess
just install as is

You could try ShellRunAs:

Quite a nifty little tool, but as Bledd sez: already an admin I guess
