A warrior with no master

The name comes from the case Bitfenix Ronin and i chose it over the Air 540 which hopefully i wont regret it, i just thought i cant justify the £50 difference fpr a casual built and knowing my kids they would be sitting all over it cause of its width!

This is my first real attempt as before i had a premade built and got rid of some parts and kept some and finally had ''permission'' from the wifey to go through with the order, this of course after spending about £1.2k on her and the kids lol for Christmas!

This will be my long term built but its only a casual gamer built and will be used for other things as well.

All looks fine, but you'll want to game over DVI not HDMI. HDMI sucks ass apparently. :p

I can't remember why though, so I appreciate that this post is pretty useless... Sorry.

Nice looking build. :)

why does HDMI suck ??? i always thought HDMI > DVI. And whenever ive done some research people say that only real difference is that HDMI carries audio while DVI doesnt, as i cant be bothered to get a speaker and not intend on gaming or playing loud music, inbuilt monitor speakers is more than enough for me. Also if i decide to ever touch my xbox 360 again or get an xbox one i can always use the HDMI slot...

As I say, I can't remember. It may only have been the earlier versions of HDMI that were bad, I probably shouldn't have brought it up haha.

Though if you plugged the Xbox in via HDMI, and the PC in via DVI & 3.5mm to 3.5mm (for audio) you wouldnt have to unplug and replug anything. :)

DVI has higher bandwidth compared to HDMI (at least, the variants commonly included on graphics card).

Given that the monitor you have listed is 1080p@60Hz, I doubt you'd have an issue with either.

As stated above, DVI-D has a higher bandwidth than HDMI and at resolutions higher than 1920x1200 the refresh rate when using HDMI starts to fall off.

So basically for your monitor it's fine as you are only at 1920x1080 so HDMI will support 60Hz refresh rate at that resolution - if you were at, say, 2560x1440 though then your refresh rate would be < 60Hz (probably somewhere around 40).

Ahhh i cant wait to get the delivery!

Btw is there any way of testing that your psu is working fine? At my disposal i only have a motherboard, ssd and hdd no gpu, as i sold a lot of my old rigs parts and almost sold my motherboard today.

Im just worried because my daughter was once fiddling with it and its been about 2 months since i touched it and ocuk will only delivery in january after xmas... Should i just play it safe buy one, not open it and if my old one does work, return it?

Its a shame the images are such poor quality, but I think if you spent a wee bit more time just cable tidying it would look so much better. Its difficult to tell tbh.
On the positive side, Red is cool in my opinion, the corsair fans are great. Is there any clearance at the bottom for airflow, where will it be sitting in use?
