I'm wondering if there is a way to check if my internet is having problems. I can access webpages fine but the game i'm trying to play is lagging seriously to the point where i lost all internet access for a while even for a bit after rebooting both the PC and the router.

Is there a way to do it through CMD? and if so will i need my IP and how do i find it?

Many thanks,

Kabaala.

[Edit - its Telewest cable 10mb if that makes any difference]

at the command window type "ping fuller.zen.co.uk" it should return something like

anything above 20ms is pretty poor for blueyonder. Next try to download a file from http://www.fuller.zen.co.uk/test . you should get around 1.1MB/s
