a wiper problem

my heap (cavalier) has 3 speed wipers. or at least it would have if all the speeds worked. the two faster speeds work perfectly, but the slowest speed (intermittent) doesnt work properly. when you switch it on, the wipers move a little, about 30% through their arc, and then stop. we've been getting a lot of drizzle of late and the faster speeds are too quick and end up squeaking, so if there's a quick easy fix i'd like to know

Sounds like the wiper motors giving up the ghost, either that or the power's not getting to it enough, hence at low speeds now having enough power there to push the wipers across the screen.
