Couldn't see a thread. Yes it looks like every Statham film but that's half the appeal. From the trailer it looks better than his last one. The BeeKeeper.

I'll give it a watch, love a bit of Statham.

Need some more Scott Adkins and Michael Jai White too now I think about it.

What's with the American accent stuff, is he even trying to do that?

Statham is British, he sounds pretty much like he does in any other movie, I wasn't aware he was trying to sound like a yank?

It can't be worse than the Bee keeper....can it?....
Fingers crossed, enjoy a bit of half decent mindless Stathism!!

Trailer definitely looks good, but I actually thought the Beekeeper trailer looked good too, so I'll reserve judgement at this stage.

Still going to see it though.

I'm pretty sure that's just how he sounds now. I saw a trailer for this a few weeks ago, and he even says he was in the British army/marines/SF, I can't remember which.

He wasn't in the military, but he was part of England's national swim team as a diver, I think he competed in the commonwealth games at one point even. Was big into martial arts most of his life too apparently, his parents ran market stalls and the like.

Became a model after that, which I think is what led into his movie career.

He was also in a Shamen music video wearing not a right lot.

"when I left the Royal Marines.." Proceeds to do his bad American accent.
Why? You literally could have just talked normally.

I'll still probably watch it though :D

Beekeeper was amazing, none of you have good taste. Was hilarious. Jeremy Irons giving an absolute oscar worthy performance and not at all cashing it in.

He's always spoken like that, with the sporadic Yankish popping up - It's the accent of a typical Brit who spends a lot of time in America, hence the slight twang creeping in.
Although annoying, it's actually well-suited to the characters he plays, ie Brits in America.

While not a fan personally, I admire how Statham has basically parallelled Steven Seagal's film career, but without becoming a complete bell-end about it.
