Hey guys..so im getting the itch to upgrade my pc.

I am currently running:
I7 920 @ 4GHZ
Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Mobo
x2 ATI 6950 in Xfire
6GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 Triple Channel @ 1866mhz I believe
Crucial M4 SSD
1200W PSU
Coolmaster Cosmos S
24"inch 1080p

Could someone please recommend some worthwhile upgrades as I am not to sure what the best bang for my buck would be at the moment.:D

Alrighty, I will wait a while. if anyone comes up with any suggestion I would be most interested in hearing them. :D

OP, I would suggest that you wait until Haswell (mid 2013) or the next iteration of Intel chips after that. You'd just have to get

- CPU
- RAM (either one more stick of Dominator or sell your Tri-channel and get Dual or Quad)
- Mobo to plug it all into.

If you are itching to upgrade, you could sell your crossfire 6950 and get a 7970/670/680!

Thats still a pretty decent spec, id wait till the release of haswell. I own two x58 rigs and will be holding onto both till haswell. Then ill replace the main one i use most. A newer single gpu would be nice as far as lower power consumption, less heat. But if theese arent a concern, xfired 6950's are still pretty good for gaming.

Good advice from everyone, wait till Haswell and the next upgrade on graphics cards and then again have a good think and see if the upgrade is going to make a difference.

There is nothing your system can't run at this time at 1080p and nothing that is going to make you say wow that upgrade was worth the money and time invested.

If you have some money burning a hole in your pockets maybe think about buying something else for the home that you can see a difference with like a new TV, audio gear, new laptop, phone, digital camera or whatever hobbies you are into. Really the PC front from what you have is not worth updating into or wasting the time or money on at the moment mate.

Thank you for all of your suggestions, I think I will wait it out until the next cycle of products are out upon your recommendations.

The fluffy toy doesn't sound like a bad idea either :p
