Hey all,

Does anyone know the differences between the revisions A03 and A04 in the Dell 2407 24" monitor?

Thanks,
Marky

All the 2407s use a samsung S-PVA panel. The main difference in A04 was 1:1 mapping of 1080p signals (not sure if that's through all inputs though).

Sorry to bring this back up but I thought it'd be better than starting a brand new thread :p

I had heard about this - but I don't know what it means :p Can anyone explain? :p

2407 is 1920*1200 pixels and when set to 1080p the 360 outputs at 1920*1080. 1:1 means the picture is displayed using 1920*1080 pixels, leaving a small 60 pixel black border at the top and bottom, but giving you the best picture quality. Without 1:1 the screen scales the picture vertically to fill the screen, which reduces the picture quality a little.

Is there no way to change the 360 settings to set it up correctly in A03?

Sadly not, it won't output at 1920*1200.

Back to HDCP I believe all 2407s have HDCP but I've read a few reports of them either not doing higher resolutions than 720p with HDCP or not doing 1080i with HDCP. Baddass might have some definite info on this.

It will definitely do that yep. I'm pretty sure it will do 1080p from the 360 too via VGA (although stretched not 1:1) but I'm not sure about 1080p from the PS3 via HDMI-to-DVI lead.

Hopefully someone will drop by who knows.

The only differece between A03 and A04 is A04 can do 1:1 at 1080p through DVI.A03 can`t and streches it a bit. They can both do 780p and 1080p through DVI and VGA(no point using 780i and 1080i if you can do p)but you can`t do 1080p through component as component can`t do 1080p on any monitor or TV.
