Hi Everyone,
Just looking for a 2nd person opinion who knows a thing or two about low profile cooling.
Im in the process of designing and building my next build with the following specs:
- AMD A10 6700 (65w TDP, plus its faster than the previous Trinity generation 5700)
- Gigabyte ITX Mobo
- Seagate 500GB Hybrid Hard drive
- Streacom FC1 Evo Black ITX Case
- 160W Pico PSU
- Windows 8 Pro
The idea around this build was for a small but reasonably powerful mini gaming PC that i can throw in my bag when Im off to a friends or something, so i don't have to lug my main PC around.
I currently have the case and the Mobo and processor is on order for next week.
Only thing is im having trouble figuring out how I'm going to keep the cpu as cool as possible, whilst maintaining as lower noise levels as possible.
The max height i have is around 42mm for a cooler, and ideally the top of my case is going to be on at all times. I am however open to the option modifying the lid to allow more airflow but ideally i don't want to do this as aesthetically it looks great.
I have settled on 2 different coolers that will both fit, and need some advice on weather these will be enough to cool the APU in this small space. Note the APU will not be overclocked, and will remain running at stock.
The two coolers are:
Zalman CNPS2X (only 27mm tall!)
Scythe Kozuti (40mm tall)
Does anybody have any experience with these coolers?
I have also found some quiet 60mm fans that can help with intake/exhaust of airflow, these are: Nanoxia DS 60mm Fan
I have attached 2 images to highlight my options, but I'm open to more suggestions![Big Grin :D :D](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/biggrin.gif)
P.S. The cage inside the case has been completely removed for better airflow![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/smile.gif)
