I recently made a bit of a mistake (didn't check as I didn't think older chips would possibly have support removed).

I purchased an AMD A10-9700 for an office based machine along with an ASROCK B450M-HDV R4.0.

I've received a board with bios revision 3.20, which has had bristol ridge cpu support removed.

Is there any method of downgrading the bios?

It's been used though? I've read their returns policy and it states it has to be as new. I can try it I suppose.
"The item must not be used and must be 'as new' when returned to us." Well technically it is new and hasnt been used as it didnt work. just clean it up carefully and put it back in the original packaging, would just say you brought it but it wasnt compatable dont mention installing it and just ask for an exchange to the A3000g.

Contacted them and they are happy for me to return even though I was honest and said it was installed with heat sink and fan but would not post. Good result.
